Detroit’s three casinos have reported an aggregate monthly revenue of $109.44m for April 2024.

$107.87m of this came from table games and slots, which is an 11.8 per cent decrease on the previous month and a 1.6 per cent decrease on the previous year. The three casinos paid $8.74m in gaming taxes to the state of Michigan through the month, as well as $12.8m in wagering taxes and development agreement payment to the City of Detroit.

$1.57m of the total revenue came from retail sports betting. The casinos reported a total retail sports betting handle of $15.28m. The casinos reported paying $59,362 in gaming taxes to the state and $142,718 in wagering taxes to the City of Detroit.

The April market shares were 46 per cent for MGM, 30 per cent for MotorCity and 24 per cent for Hollywood Casino at Greektown.
