In the dynamic landscape of the gaming industry, evolution is key. And whilst the two could seem to have a conflict of interests and compete to gain customer share, a recent EKG study shows that online gaming has, in fact, had a positive impact on land-based gross gaming revenues.
Land-based gaming - traditionally associated with brick-and-mortar casinos, and the street or route market – has, despite fears, seen a huge resurgence post pandemic. Players have been drawn back to the excitement of being in a bustling casino or alternative gaming environment and the thrill of physically interacting with games.
