The United Arab Emirates’ aversion for almost every form of gambling seemed deeply rooted in its religious faith and social conventions, so it may have seemed an unlikely place for a new gaming market to open up.

Of the four current casinos in the Indian OcYet, last year, an interesting development occurred when it created a new regulatory body, the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, tasked with managing the country’s approach to the emerging gaming sector.
