CashXTech supplies Grosvenor Casinos

Following a £300,000 investment, Grosvenor Casinos opened its first Electric Casino in Leeds, UK, in July, featuring a selection of the latest slot machines and electronic roulette terminals.

At the heart of the new venue is CashXTech’s XSS-VRT, an automated self-service payment terminal for jackpot voucher redemption. The interactive touchscreen terminal integrates with IGT’s EZ Pay ticket-in, ticket-out system and provides cash-out services for all 21 EZ Pay gaming machines in the casino. There is no manned cashier or cage personnel as the VRT handles all the jackpot payouts 24/7.

Based directly beneath the Grosvenor Casino Leeds, the 24-hour venue offers 10 state- of-the-art £4,000 jackpot slot machines and 11 high-tech electronic roulette terminals.

Melcom Copeland, director of CashXTech, said: “It’s just a matter of time before more and more European casinos, adult gaming centres and bingo halls start to incorporate automated voucher redemption terminals into their gaming floor operations.

The company has also supplied a localised version of the voucher redemption terminal to the Regency International Casino in Tirana, Albania.
