The Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries has signed a memorandum of understanding with China Association for Amusement Parks and Attractions, which will be effective for one year and marks the beginning of international collaboration for exchange of knowledge and technical expertise for development of the amusement industry in both countries.

The annual turnover of the Indian amusement industry is currently pegged at Rs15bn and set to grow at 25 per cent year on year.

Commenting on the agreement, IAAPA president Arijit Sengupt said: "The understanding with CAAPA enables both bodies to exchange ideas, bringing in rapid development of the amusement industy both in India and China by adapting to the best practices of both countries.

"We also foresee an opportunity to build a relationshop with China which can add value to our growth in the amusement park industry."
