Animation Expo success
The 5th China International Animation Game Expo, which took place in July at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, was an overall success according to InterGame sources.
According to the Deputy Minister for Culture, Jian Ouyang, the exhibition was the perfect opportunity to showcase how far the animation side of games has come in China with regard to both quality and variation. The expo also served to further promote China’s video game industry internationally and help it to expand.
In response to the current economic situation the expo also involved a specialised platform for the cooperation and exchange between Chinese and foreign enterprises.
CEC focuses on social media strategy
CEC Entertainment, parent company of pizza arcade chain Chuck E Cheese in the US, is expanding its reach to consumers through Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and HerBlog, and may become active on Pinterest.
