QubicaAMF has formed a strategic alliance in Europe with Bowltech, extending the existing relationship between the two companies.
Under the new agreement, Bowltech will continue to serve as QubicaAMF’s full-line distributor in Denmark and Sweden and now in Benelux as well. Bowltech will also begin functioning as the master distributor for QubicaAMF aftermarket products, excluding pins, throughout Europe. It has established a new logistics company, European Bowling Distribution, to be the master distributor.
The new role will see EBD distribute QubicaAMF’s aftermarket products to sales offices in France, Germany and the UK and Bowltech sales offices in Sweden, Denmark, Benelux and other authorised distributors throughout Europe.
John Walker, CEO of QubicaAMF, described Bowltech as “the perfect partner.”
“In June, the two companies announced a potential transaction where Bowltech would purchase QubicaAMF,” he said. “The transaction is still very much alive and our current owners and Bowltech still believe this is the right thing for both companies. But closing complex transactions such as this take time and, in the meantime, we have decided to move forward and expand our relationship in Europe in a way that makes sense for both companies, even if we were to ultimately go forward independently in the future.”
