InterGame closed its office on Friday of last week so that the entire workforce could travel to Leeds for the funeral of their colleague and friend Simon Liddle, who died of cancer, aged 32, on Thursday, May 12.

They joined Simon’s family, friends and mourners from the amusement and gaming industry at St Paul’s Church, Morley, Leeds, for the funeral service.

After the service the large congregation transferred to Billy’s Bar at Elland Road, the home of Leeds United Football Club, of which Simon was a keen follower.

Simon had joined InterGame in October of 2008 and was promoted to editor of InterGaming in September of the following year, taking over the editor’s role of the flagship publication, InterGame, in September 2012.

Simon leaves a wife, Rebecca, and a one-year-old son, Rafe.
