During the DEAL show in Dubai last week, distributor ASI gave the Middle East Operators’ Choice Award for best sports game to Billares Sam’s Baby air hockey.
In 2016, the operators voted in six different categories. ASI nominated games according to the number of units sold and asked operators to vote for the games that gave the most value to their malls or arcades. Operators define “value” according to revenue per square metre, games played, look and feel, etc. Finally, ASI collects and tabulates the votes. This year, more than 70 votes for each category were counted.
