A TRIP to the smoke-filled bookies was once a jaunt down memory lane.

Steeped in tradition, and to outsiders, an all-too-shadowy corner of the high street, betting shops were not especially welcoming and certainly did not appear progressive or appealing to the uninitiated. Attracting new customers was especially challenging. How things have changed. Visiting a betting shop in 2015 is an altogether different experience. High street bookies are bright, airy places, packed with technology and more often than not somewhere any bettor would happily spend an hour or so.
