Greek VLTs paused

OPAP, the monopoly-holder for lotteries in Greece, has stalled the launch of VLTs in the country.

The move follows fresh regulations that reflect the current financial crisis in Greece. The country’s Gambling Commission decided last week to hold back the planned release of VLTs by OPAP.

The company has assured investors that it will take appropriate measures to ensure a “reasonable regulatory framework” for the VLT project and its operators.
