Playsafe Monitoring, the systems company, has been acquired from Helix Leisure by Eurocoin, specialist in components and systems-based hardware in amusements and gaming.

Eurocoin

All of the Playsafe team is remaining with the company, said Eurocoin’s managing director Nick Veitch, who added that between them, the two companies have 70 years’ experience in serving the industry. Eurocoin has more than 100 employees in offices in seven countries in Europe.

The purchase was said by Eurocoin to have been prompted by the “synergies” Playsafe brought to the Eurocoin offer. Helix, which includes Embed and LAI Games, said the sale would enable it to focus on its core business to the amusement sector, rather than to Playsafe’s premier market, which was in gambling and bingo equipment.

Helix has launched a new UK company, Embed Europe, which will operate from new offices, with a brief to support Embed Systems customers in the UK.
