Australia’s Darwin International Airport is to house a new family entertainment centre – the first Australian location for Ardent Leisure, the name behind the chain of Main Event FECs in the US.

The new centre, which will feature 22 bowling lanes, a laser tag area and a ropes climbing course, will be the first of Ardent’s new flagship centres in its home country.

“This is an exciting time for Ardent Leisure as we build on our already successful bowling division with a brand new family entertainment centre,” said Greg Shaw, CEO of Ardent Leisure. “This new complex will be an Australian first and we are delighted to bring a new concept of fun to the Northern Territory.”

This latest FEC, due to open in 2015, will be located in Axis, the airport’s integrated business park.
