Merkur Casino, the successful pan-European arcade operator of the Gauselmann Group, has opened a new entertainment centre together with its joint venture partner Casino Technology under the trade name Palms Merkur Casino in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.

Plovdiv is situated south-east of the capital, Sofia, and with 376,000 inhabitants it is Bulgaria’s second largest city. It is also one of Europe’s oldest cities with a history of over 8,000 years to look back on.

The new casino-styled arcade covers an expanse of 320sq.m and offers guests a total of 48 gaming positions, including a roulette terminal, with an international product mix of the highest technological level.

The company has also opened a venue in Ostrava, the third largest city in the Czech Republic. It is situated in the far east of the country, close to the border with Poland and Slovakia. The 233sq.m site offers guests a total of 45 gaming positions, including the successful Games Unlimited from Merkur Gaming.
