Lakes Entertainment has presented its project for a proposed casino resort in Sumner County, Kansas, US, to the Sumner County Board of County Commissioners for endorsement of its two proposals.

The presentation followed an application submitted on April 24 for a licence to operate a casino in the region.

“Our presentation to the board outlined a plan for a $265m investment in the resort, which will feature approximately 2,000 slot machines, 60 table games, a poker room, a number of restaurants, retail space and potentially over 1,700 new jobs for the county,” said Tim Cope, president and chief financial officer of Lakes.
