It was the seventh consecutive year in which the show has grown in attendance. The figures are subject to an independent audit, in accordance with Clarion Events’ practice of having all of its trade show attendance statistics checked.

The event was the third overseen by Kate Chambers, managing director of Clarion Gaming at ExCeL and who was responsible for the growth of the event for several years prior to that. Said Chambers: “We invited the world of gaming to enter the Gaming Technopolis and they came – from a total of 150 countries.”

She added: “I am delighted with the double-digit increase on 2015. There’s a significant momentum to the event and all of the anecdotal evidence, media reporting and feedback from exhibitors and visitors, is unequivocally positive.”

The show had 529 exhibitors from 62 countries.
