Atronic International had its biggest stand ever at G2E last week due to its combination with Spielo and the fact that the stand was also shared with Alfastreet, the Slovenian multiplayer manufacturer with which Atronic has an international agreement.

There was a host of new products, including Stargate SG1. This multi-bonus progressive link with three separate games is based on the popular movie and TV show. Its distinct bonuses summon recognisable features from the Stargate SG-1 series. The player must bet max lines and pace a side bet to trigger a bonus. Once triggered, one of the five bonuses is randomly selected. The games are housed in the brand new e2 Slant cabinet.

Aimed initially at the North American market, Stargate SG-1 will be available in the first part of 2009. It will get its European launch at the IGE in London in January. “This game has been received very well in our player focus groups,” said marketing director Sylvia Dietz. “The brand is just the initial attraction - the games have to stand up on their own.”
