The next Las Vegas mega resort is a step closer to construction.
Genting has received approval from the Clark County Zoning Commission to proceed with the $4bn Resorts World Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
The approval comes amid speculation about Genting’s delay in starting construction on the property that it bought in 2013 and for which it had a ceremonial groundbreaking last May.
The Chinese themed property will be the first mega resort to rise on the Las Vegas Strip since the recession.
