VinaCapital did not identify the new partner but it is speculated to be Chow Tai Fook Enterprises from Hong Kong.

Privately owned American company Peninsula Pacific had replaced Genting initially but has since stepped out, it is reported.

VinaCapital wants to start construction next year, with the resort to open in 2017.
