PokerStars has appointed a new head of corporate communications to lead the company's global communications efforts.

Former Microsoft and Disney executive, as well as former journalist, Eric Hollreiser has joined to guide the positioning of PokerStars, which recently returned more than US$100m to players from its US-facing operations following Black Friday.

Hollreiser was hired following a six-month international search and has been consulting with the company over recent months, providing counsel and leadership for the company’s communications. His responsibilities will include execution of corporate communications, internal communications, public relations and corporate social responsibility, including across social media and talent communications.
