According to a report in the Financial Times recently, online poker room Full Tilt Poker is being investigated by a federal grand jury in Manhattan, US.
The site, which is one of the largest online poker sites serving US players, is being investigated to examine whether gambling and money-laundering laws have been broken.
It is reported that some of the big names affiliated with the site, including Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer, could be charged with breaking US anti-gambling laws for holding a "controlling interest" in Full Tilt Poker as although the site is registerd in Alderney, both Ferguson and Lederer reside in the US.
