In total, nine lucky players took home seven-figure sums from Microgaming’s progressive jackpot games, equating to more than €40m in winnings.

The largest jackpot win was through Microgaming’s Mega Moolah progressive, with €18,915,872.81 paid out on Friday, September 28, at Grand Mondial Casino. Won by a player on a mobile device, this set a new payout record for the popular progressive online slot, eclipsing the €17,879,645.12 that earned Microgaming the Guinness World Records title for the “largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game” in 2015.

Three weeks into 2019, Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network is showing no signs of slowing down, with a lucky 32Red player having scooped a €1,162,021.24 jackpot playing Major Millions on January 2. The network has paid out €980m to date, making it the largest in the industry, and with the Mega Moolah jackpot currently topping €17m, total payouts are fast approaching the €1bn mark.

John Coleman, CEO at Microgaming, said: “Congratulations to all the lucky winners in 2018.  We are proud to host the industry’s largest progressive jackpot network, which paid out more than €150m last year, setting a number of payout records in the process.

“It is remarkable to see total payouts nearing €1bn, which really highlights the strength of the network, and we are excited to be working on a series of developments aimed at taking our progressive jackpot offering to the next level.”
