This month sees the staging of the European Gambling Briefing, the "gaming industry's annual meet for practical legal advice" according to organiser Clarion Gaming.

Taking place on April 22-23 at the Marriott Hotel in Budapest, Hungary, this fifth event of its kind is a forum for gaming operators, lawyers, legal counsels, governments and regulators. It is basically two days of presentations by world-class speakers, important updates, debate and networking with key players.

“2009 is shaping up to be as gruelling and difficult as any before it, both commercially and legally across Europe,” said Clarion. “With several key countries now testing the best models for more liberal gaming regimes, others delaying and fighting liberalisation and still others trying to lead the way with distinctive paths of their own, it is essential to know where you stand.”
