Though Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker are back online in Canada, recent statistics from Poker.ca show Canadian players are moving to rooms run by publicly traded companies.
Poker.ca has reported that Canadian players now prefer to play at 888 Poker and Party Poker, unlike a week earlier when players closely followed American trends by playing Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars.
According to the owner of Poker.ca, players in Canada are now concerned with keeping their money in online poker rooms that haven’t been charged with fraud or other illegal activity.
Many players in Canada were reportedly drawn to US-friendly poker sites that sponsored Canadian poker superstars, causing 888 Poker and Party Poker to lose market share in Canada.
