Aristocrat Technologies has reportedly filed an application with state regulators to expand its gaming licence to offer online poker games in Nevada.

According to a report in the Las Vegas Review Journal, Aristocrat president Nick Khin confirmed last week that the application, which focuses on providing online gaming technology, would allow the company to provide a platform to land-based casinos. Approvals are expected by April 1.

The Nevada Gaming Commission approved new regulations in December for the licensing of companies that offer online poker with betting within the state.
