A record crowd of over 4,000 visitors saw the opening of the 11th Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo in Sofia, Bulgaria, this week.

Traditional costume Bulgarian folk dancing and drum bands heralded the opening of the show, the ceremony conducted by Angel Iribozov, chairman of the Bulgarian Gaming Association, Giuyersel Kyorov, general manager of Princess Hotels, and David Orrick, director of industry relations at Merkur Gaming.

Merkur was exhibiting at the show for the third consecutive year with a prime position on the floor and showing over 120 games. It introduced to the Balkan market for the first time the new Allegro Curbve cabinet.

The CEO international of Merkur Gaming, Athanasios Isaakidis, said: “We are delighted to be back for the third time; we have made many friends here in this region and the show gives us the opportunity to meet with them.”
