Ontario’s sports betting has standards

The rules for operating sports betting in Ontario, Canada, have been issued by its Alcohol and Gaming Commission.

The new standards have been incorporated into the existing Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming, which was published in July.

Industry feedback on the proposed standards for sport and event betting has led the authority to require operators to monitor betting markets for suspicious activity, ban insiders from betting and ensure offerings meet acceptable betting criteria.
