The company announced the initial decision to close the two properties on January 25, pending union negotiations.

Following the conclusion of the talks, Svenska Spel has now set in stone a date for the sites’ closure.

“For over 20 years, Casino Cosmopol has offered the citizens of Gothenburg and Malmö an international casino experience, which is now unfortunately coming to an end,” said Ola Enquist, CEO of Casino Cosmopol.

“Until we close, my colleagues and I hope that our guests will want to visit us one last time so that together we can have a nice ending for the casino.”

Casino Cosmopol, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Svenska Spel, was commissioned in 1999 to offer land-based gaming and establish international casinos in Sweden.
