During a whistle stop tour of two of the Benelux countries, (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) David Snook found an industry at the very cornerstone of Europe.

Belgium

BELGIUM remains the enigma of the international gaming industry. It has arcades, machines in pubs and casinos, the same as most other countries, but there the similarity stops. It has law variations and machine types seen nowhere else, yet appears to operate perfectly satisfactorily.

It is also home to some of the best-known names in the games and gaming industry, from crane machines built by companies like Elaut, to pushers from VdW, from touchscreen devices by ELO to bingo games from Splin, from slots by Eurautomat to control systems by DRGT.
