Head of Tech (100% Remote)

We’re looking for a Head of Tech, to join my client's business, with strong experience and knowledge in our infrastructure (Node, GraphQL, Reactjs & WordPress).

As the new Head of Tech, you will be managing and overseeing the Tech and will report directly to their Co-Founders.

This is a key role for the business. They have an established (but growing) Tech, Product, Growth and Design team already, and they feel adding a further expert in the field will help deliver their vision of really stepping up our websites and taking them to the next level.

The position at hand:

  • Manage a Team of Scrum masters.

  • Own the resourcing, hiring, and optimising of our Engineers

  • Manage a team of Tech Leads, from general architecture, general company-wide tech solutions

  • Work closely with our Chief Product Officer to build strategic goals for tech and inspire a sense of shared purpose within the team

  • Push to understand the organisations needs and ensure that our tech infrastructure is solid enough to cater for those needs

  • Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities and drive decision making

  • Lead a team through the process of build, test and deploying.

  • Advocate/defend ideas and positions based on facts, expertise, and best practices

Requirements:

  • Proven relevant experience within affiliation

  • Highly desired, bonus experience within iGaming, Crypto, Forex, Trading …

  • 3+ years of experience as a Tech Manager leading team of Engineers and/or Tech Leads.

  • Experience running within an ecosystem of sites built on WordPress, React and NodeJS.

  • SEO knowledge will be considered an asset

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful tech team

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and drive results while juggling many priorities under tight timeframes

  • Exceptional soft skills; analytical, communication, organization and priority/time management.

  • Exceptional soft skills in people management. Culture is a priority.

  • Ability to influence others in a matrix reporting relationship.

  • Strategic and collaborative thinking.
