People in the UK aged 18-30 are the only age group likely to increase their spend in 2023, according to a new survey.

Receptional analysed the results of 540 responses from male and female sports bettors aged 18-51+ after the World Cup in Qatar.
It found that young bettors, aged 18-30, spend on average £20-£100 per month, with that figure set to increase as this year continues.
The bettors in the 18-30 bracket are mainly men, Receptional found, and have one betting account on average.
Midlife bettors, aged between 30 and 50 in Receptional’s surey, spend between £0-£20, but will decrease their spend this year.
Receptional’s survey concluded that older bettors, mainly women, bet for fun and to enjoy big sporting occasions, with their spend set to stay the same in 2023.
