The CasinoCoin Foundation, a non-profit entity supporting blockchain powered payment solution CasinoCoin, has announced the appointment of Lydia Barbara, head of innovation strategy at Microgaming, to its advisory board.

In taking on the role, Barbara joins several other senior professionals with a wealth of knowledge and experience across the global gaming and casino industry.

Barbara said: “I’m delighted to be able to take part in the early stages of such an exciting project. The breadth and diversity of experience across the board is impressive, and I look forward to working with the CasinoCoin team and board on bringing this revolutionary payment solution to market.”

The CasinoCoin advisory board was formed last October to support the development and growth of the cryptocurrency. Lydia will work alongside the other board members: Britt Boeskov, CPO Kindred Group; Lee Fenton, CEO Gamesys; Jeffrey Haas, chief international officer DraftKings; Sam Hobcraft, CEO OPL Gaming Group; David Sargeant, Founder of iGaming Ideas; James Scicluna, co-founder and partner at WH Partners; Morten Tonnesen, CEO Ve Global; and Luke Webster, MD Knox Private Office.

John Caldwell, director of advocacy at CasinoCoin Foundation, said: “Lydia has a deep understanding of blockchain technology and is a veteran in the gaming world. We simply cannot have enough people with those two qualities helping us, and we are very pleased to have Lydia on the CasinoCoin Advisory Board. Lydia focuses every day on innovation in gaming and we’re thrilled she can share some of that knowledge with us.”
