Virtual queuing for a post-Covid "reality" is being provided by Canadian developer Connect & Go, for amusement parks and attractions globally.

Virtual queuing

“The industry is starting to reopen and while everyone is excited to get back to work, a few small changes will be necessary to ensure the guest experience is enjoyable and safe. Venue operators are looking at effective and convenient ways to encourage physical distancing and reduce risks to germ transmission at their locations,” the company stated.

The company says the virtual queuing is an excellent option for busy locations, including FECs, water parks, and amusement parks. “Guests book a virtual spot for a ride or attraction and then receive an alert when their reservations come sup. By avoiding crowded lines, guests not only maintain safe physical distancing, but they also get more time to enjoy the rest of the park.”

The solution is flexible and can be implemented anywhere. Park operators benefit from a detailed overview of guest activity and spend-per-head is often increased as guests have more time to purchase snacks and visit fit shops. Virtual queuing, it says, is a great way to adopt to the new safety standards being enforced in many businesses around the world.
