Yet another award has been collected by Canada’s media-based attractions developer Triotech.

This time it is the Golden Crown Award for Outstanding Motion/Flying Theater Supplier (International) for its installation at Happy Valley in Tianjin, China.
Several Triotech attractions have been installed at the Happy Valley venue over the years and its 60-seat XD Theater is the latest bought by Happy valley operator OCT.
Happy Valley covers 200,000sq.m and has 30 attractions. The XD Theater is located in the Viking Harbor land and was opened there last July.
Han Jie, Triotech sales general manager for China, said: “We will continue to develop innovative products for the market and contribute to the overall recovery of the Chinese entertainment business.”
It is the ninth Triotech attraction to be installed in Happy Valley theme parks across China. The park is part of the Overseas Chinese Town Group (OCT), the largest park operator in the country with 50m visitors annually.
“When we are in our peak season,” said a spokesman for the park, “we have more than 5,000 daily visitors on average and on weekends it can be 10,000.”
The XD Theater has motion technology and offers a fully immersive experience by combining 3D stereoscopic movies with special effects.
It is scalable from four to over 100 seats depending on the operator’s needs, anticipated customer traffic and space allocation. The 4D motion simulator theatre is a top revenue generator with a catalogue of more than 40 movies available.
