The amusement industry in England had its first taste of reopening in the form of theme parks at the weekend.

Arcades and pubs will have to wait a little longer to accept visitors inside their locations.

Making the news was Gulliver’s Valley theme park in Yorkshire, with the BBC interviewing manager Julie Dalton on Monday morning last week. “We have not made any money since before last Christmas,” commented Dalton in her interview.

The park will now reopen each weekend and all of its available pre-booked slots have been taken up. Even so, the park cannot operate its live shows and restaurants have remained closed for inside dining, with social distancing having to be observed.
