The Spanish industry has lost one of its most popular and respected characters in Emilio Clemente, aged 77, founder of the operating company Grupo Ensanche, with arcades across Valencia and Castellón.

Clemente, president of the group that over the past 40 years has manufactured AWPs and operated both gaming and amusement machines and equipment in bingo centres not only in Spain, but also in Albania and Romania, died on Sunday.

He was president of the local trade association, ANDEMAR, in Valencia, between 1986 and 1992. He leaves a wife and three children.
