According to a Labour Party candidate for the local elections in Hartlepool, England, the town would make an ideal venue for a VR theme park to help with tourism.

Jessie Joe Jacobs pledged to support the scheme should she be elected mayor of the town in the May elections. Jacobs said she would set aside a budget of £30m to make the project a reality, reports the local Teeside Live media.

A digital playground with immersive entertainment and high-technology 4D rides would help with tourism and culture. “I will ensure that every town in the Tees Valley has a world-class quality tourist attraction that will bring visitors and money into the area and create jobs,” said Jacobs.
