The very first installation in the Middle East for UK innovator, Frontgrid, has launched at Emaar Entertainment’s VR Theme Park in the Dubai Mall.

This latest installation is the first new ParadropVR site to launch this year, following installations at Universe Science Park, Denmark; Merlin Entertainments’ £20m new indoor adventure centre, the Bear Grylls Adventure and iFLY Basingstoke in 2018, both in the UK.

Frontgrid has also recently announced that it will be launching a world-first ParadropVR City Flyer experience at the King Power Mahanakhon in Bangkok, Thailand in summer 2019, with a further four global sites due to be announced.

Coinciding with the opening of the DEAL show next week, Frontgrid is inviting visitors to the event to come and experience ParadropVR at the VR Theme Park while in Dubai this week. Anyone wishing to request a VIP test flight should contact Claire Hughes ([email protected]) to book.

Frontgrid CEO, Matt Wells said: “We’re thrilled to have launched our first ParadropVR installation with Emaar Entertainments in Dubai. The VR Theme Park is a really exciting location and it’s great to see the enthusiasm visitors of all ages have for immersive entertainment.

“We’re looking forward to meeting old and new friends at the DEAL Middle East Show next week, and to showcase our latest installation in Dubai. It’s a great opportunity for visitors to experience the ride for themselves, and to introduce our groundbreaking city flyer concept.   “By the end of 2019, thrill-seekers in eight countries worldwide will be able to experience ParadropVR.

We’re forecasting one million rides this year across all our existing and planned sites, and see huge potential for our products to help operators in the Middle East deliver meaningful results.”
