Further evidence of the ills currently being suffered by the UK nightclub industry have surfaced in Basildon, Essex, where another club is set to become a mini golf attraction.
InterGame reported earlier this month that the industry has seen many former dance venues converted into LBE ventures, with adventure/mini golf being one of the favoured options.
Plans have been submitted by Adventure Leisure for a change of use for Chicago’s on the Festival Leisure Park in the town with the company’s Mr. Mulligan’s brand penciled in there.
The design for the store includes two nine-hole golf courses, a bar and a restaurant featuring a new mezzanine floor.
Adventure Leisure currently operates nine Mr. Mulligans locations across England.
