The first ever instalment of the summit will be taking place in Riyadh from March 7-8, organised by IAAPA and the General Entertainment Authority, or GEA. The development is said to have been inspired by the success of last year's summit by IAAPA in Dubai.

Spread over multiple forums and venues, the summit schedule includes access to Riyadh's Trade Connections Area and EDUTours, such as to the Boulevard Riyadh City, alongside educational sessions, networking events and more.

The summit also includes a "showcase" of attractions and entertainment across 15 different zones. Attendees are able to opt for a options, such as one or two-day registration, for their convenience.

Topics to be covered during the educational workshops include the future workforce for the entertainment industry, planned developments in Saudi Arabia, tackling supply chain demands, how to deliver excellent customer service, and more.

Peter van der Schans, vice president and executive director of IAAPA Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "The Middle East is an important region and IAAPA is looking to build more relationships there while growing our membership. Saudi Arabia is in the midst of a boom in the attractions industry, and we are ready to support leaders there in achieving their goals.”
