International kids’ play structures supplier Goplay was again at the Australasian Gaming Expo in Sydney this week.

The company was appearing at the show for the 11th consecutive year, working out of its Australian subsidiary.

The tallest kids’ play structure that Goplay has produced for the registered clubs market in Australia was nine metres tall, said Krystian Jackson, national sales manager for the company.

“Only last month we completed a very large playground for the Mildura Workers’ Club in Victoria,” he said. “The manager of that club subsequently came back to us and reported that it has transformed the atmosphere in the club with a new family-oriented ambience.”

It was by no means an isolated incident. Jackson said that clubs all over the country are now looking for an opportunity to broaden the base of their appeal, beyond F&B, luxurious fixtures and fittings and poker machines. “They want to bring families in, and equipment such as ours will help them to do that.”

He described the modular characteristics of the Goplay equipment as ‘lego-like’, slotting together in a wide variety of formations to provide appeal for kids in any shape or size of space that may be available at clubs.
