November 3 is the date for the launch, which also happens to be unofficial ‘Godzilla Day’, a date which commemorates the first showing of the iconic monster on cinema screens in Japan back in 1953.

The game has been available in the Osaka VR Zone since September, but the new roll out will see all other locations get the experience.

The game is a four-player co-operative affair where you are tasked to take on the legendary reptile as a group of combat helicopter pilots while he sets about destroying Tokyo. Using HTC Vive VR headsets and custom motion chairs equipped with dual joystick controls, players will have a formidable array of weapons to take down the Kaiju (a word meaning “giant monster”) while trying to avoid its atomic breath.
