Klimrijk Brabant, a Netherlands-based adventure park, has reopened its Veldhoven facility with the help of Kanopeo, the Swiss manufacturer of continuous belay systems.

The retrofitted aerial adventure course features the Saferoller belay system from Kanopeo. The project was led by Dutch design, engineer and build company Active Constructions, which built the original Klimrijk Brabant in 2011.

During the upgrade, considerable efforts have been made to make the location environmentally sustainable, said Huub Wijnen, manager at the park. “Our current treetop adventure is already built in a natural way, hidden in the woods, but with the new treetop adventure the trees will be even more maintained,” he said.

“I expect a more natural appearance from the new treetop adventure due to the new materials. Besides that, new elements and obstacles will be placed, which offers a new challenge. The new treetop adventure will also be built higher, 11 metres instead of eight metres.”
