Creative Works has developed Electric Edging, a visually appealing method of illuminating a mini-golf course using LED lighting.

Creative Works unveils Electric Edging

Electric Edging is a patent pending product made of highly durable plastic composite material. It can also be adapted to a given site to be interactive to the touch of the balls using triggers and DMX controls.

“We realised mini golf designers had been using the same brick-like edging materials for decades. We focused on fixing this,” said the company’s vice president of marketing, Danny Greuning.

“Mini golf is a fun, family-friendly attraction that has been successful for operators around the world,” Creative Works president, Armando Lanuti said. “But as technology improves and customer expectations increase, we have to stay ahead of the curve to deliver something truly amazing. Our team wanted to design a frosted or opaque material for the edging that could be illuminated internally. After months of designing, prototyping, and testing, we found the perfect solution,” said Lanuti.

At-home entertainment is becoming more popular than ever, so providing  experiences customers can’t get at home is essential to the success of family entertainment businesses.

“Imagine a kid hitting a hole-in-one and the whole golf course lights up and flashes to celebrate it. That hole-in-one is a memorable experience he will never forget and will make him and his friends or family excited to come back and play again,” said Lanuti.
