Level99 is an interactive e-game venue with a beer hall and kitchen, located in the Natick Mall in what was once a Sears store. It opened on Monday of this week where it has 43 game rooms, seven arenas and an art scavenger hunt.

It is the brainchild of Matt DuPlessie, who has already designed an interactive adventures venue named 5 Wits at nearby patriot Place in Foxborough, MA. He also has a background in Disney. Level 99 is the design of DuPlessie’s Box Fort production company.

Players work their way through a series of challenges, the results of their efforts clocked and recorded on their wristbands. Each of the challenges is themed and degrees of difficulty range from simple to difficult. The computerised games involve strategy for individuals or groups and include climbing walls and monkey bars. In all there are 100 different challenges.
