A new VR ticket redemption game has been produced as a result of a new partnership between Benchmark Games and BoxBlaster, the VR developer.

The result of work carried out during the lockdown, the new game will make its debut at the Bowl Expo trade show in Louisville, Kentucky, US on June 23-24.

The one-player cabinet has compelling gameplay, said Trevor Gianaris, president of Benchmark. “This is one of our most ambitious projects in a long time. Our engineering capabilities allowed us to create a cabinet to deliver an unattended VR experience that players normally get in an arena environment.”

BoxBlaster executive Yevgen Malyshev is delighted with the games development. “When seeking a partner for this project, Benchmark Games was a natural choice as they are deep in amusement experience and local. Upon seeing the first prototype we are very excited. This product will help get our BoxBlaster VR titles into locations that do not have the space and/or personnel for our full size arena installations!”

The product, currently named VR Experience, was built by the two companies at the Benchmark factory in Florida – BoxBlaster is also a Florida company.
