An agreement to operate dedicated family entertainment centres in Saudi Arabia using characters from US toy giant Hasbro’s portfolio has been reached with leading operator Al Hokair.

Hasbro Al Hokair

The deal will see the first of potentially several locations open in the Red Sea Mall in Jeddah towards Q4 this year.

At a projected 5,500sq.m in size, the venue will feature various interactive zones themed around Hasbro’s popular characters, including Power Rangers, My Little Pony and Transformers.

The collaboration will not only be Hasbro’s first Saudi operation but the first in the wider Middle East region. Dependent on the success of the debut Jeddah branch there are plans for further locations, one per year, in cities like Riyadh, Dammam, and Khobar.

Each will be bespoke to the areas they will be serving with Al Hokair leveraging the scope of the 15 characters available to it when deciding the target age groups, from younger children with My Little Pony to an older audience with Transformers.
