The Japanese government has revealed plans to prevent problem gambling ahead of the opening its first casino.
Amid concerns that Japanese organised crime are looking at the emerging gambling sector with great interest, the government has outlined plans to demand that Japanese nationals be limited in visiting casinos up to three times a week or 10 times in 28 days.
However, detractors have already pointed out that criminals will simply steal someone else’s identity card to circumnavigate the rules.
