Universal Entertainment will take Tiger Resort, the operator of Okada Manila in the Philippines, public next year to accelerate its growth.

The casino is already EBITDA positive and sales continue to rise and surpass the initial forecasts. The hotel had 98 per cent occupancy in the second quarter, Universal said.

VIP operations are benefiting from full-scale junket operations. Okada will strengthen international marketing, open sales offices in new countries and add amenities to help draw more VIPs, the company said.

Universal is also opening more non-gaming facilities to attract mass-market customers.
