THERE are many signs that the increasing popularity of online sports betting is encouraging land-based operators to create - or modify - their own offerings.
This is certainly clear in the minds of those at Greece-based gaming giant Intralot. “In the past few years, land-based operators have been losing ground in the battle with the online bookmakers, as there is a trend for shifting from retail to online and mobile,” the company’s group sports betting director, Bill Demakakos, told InterGaming.
